For Any Kind Floor Covering

Danfoss LX systems work efficiently under all kinds of floor coverings imaginable: Ceramic tiles, natural stone, tiles like marble, terrazzo or wood, wooden parquet, laminates or wooden planks, any type of wall to wall carpets, linoleum, etc.

Thanks to Danfoss efficient thermostats you can obtain a pleasant room temperature and have a nice warm floor regardless of floor constructions.

Danfoss Radiant Floor Warm your Ceramic Tiles, Natural Stone or Terrazzo Floors

Ceramic tiles and floors of marble, granite and terrazzo are smart, easy to maintain and almost indestructible. There are therefore many advantages to choosing a stone floor.

However, unheated stone floors are a cold comfort to bare feet, regardless of whether it’s summer or winter.

On the other hand, cool stone floors can be teamed brilliantly with electric floor heating from Danfoss.  Our heating cables or mats placed directly under the stone floor help ensure warm feet and a comfortable warmth in the room.
Danfoss Radiant Floor Electric Floor Warming for Linoleum Flooring

Linoleum is a practical natural product that is especially suitable for homes. Many people choose a linoleum floor because it is easy to keep clean, is allergy friendly and dampens sound.

At the same time, it is suitable for use with floor heating.

A maximum floor temperature of 80°F (27 °C)

Linoleum flooring is a natural product, which means it must be handled in precisely the same way as for heating under a wood floor.

Therefore, the heating cable or mat must be covered with a layer of tile mortar or self-levelling floor covered with a minimum thickness of 6 mm. This provides optimum distribution of the heat over the entire floor surface.
Danfoss Radiant Floor Floor Heating Under Carpets

Wall-to-wall carpets are warm in themselves. But a carpeted floor can still be heated to advantage using Danfoss floor heating.

The heating cables or mats must, however, be covered with a layer of tile mortar or self-levelling floor screed with a minimum thickness of 6 mm. This provides good, even distribution of heat over the floor’s surface.

Carpets have an insulating effect

Carpets have a slight insulating effect on floor heating. This means that an underfloor heating system installed beneath a thick woollen carpet may take slightly longer to react to changes in the room’s temperature.
